Snake Talk is a comprehensive multimedia project by The Orianne Society’s Communication Initiative, designed to increase public knowledge about snakes and reduce the fear and persecution these reptiles often face. Originally launched as the Snake Talk Podcast hosted by Dr. Chris Jenkins, the project has expanded to include a diverse range of educational platforms. In addition to the popular podcast, Snake Talk includes online seminars, engaging video content, and a variety of educational materials. These resources provide valuable insights into snake biology, behavior, and conservation, aiming to dispel myths and promote a more informed and respectful attitude toward snakes. By reaching a broad audience through accessible and engaging content, Snake Talk plays a vital role in fostering understanding, appreciation, and protection of snake species, in the United States and beyond.
