Arizona Mountain Kingsnake (Lampropeltis pyromelana), photographed in situ in Yavapai County, Arizona by Stephen Barten, DVM.
Stephen tells us “This snake was found in a crack in a large boulder and other than a photo or two was left alone. We returned 3 days later and found the snake again in the same crevice. If you don’t disturb them they often stay put, allowing future observations.”
